Description
Clinical history : A two-year old female child with ascites, peripheral oedema and hepatomegaly had clinically diagnosis of viral hepatitis.
The patient developed deepening jaundice before death.
Autopsy findings : 1. Veno-occlusive disease of the liver.
2. Ascites.
3. Bronchopneumonia.
4. Mesangio-capillary glomerulonephritis.
Diagnosis: Veno-occlusive disease.
