Abstract
Description
Clinical history : A 62 year old male had dyspnoea and on chest examination a miliary pattern was present in both lungs.
The patient was terminal and diagnosis of myocardial infarction was made.
Autopsy findings : 1. Widespread metastatic adenocarcinoma in pulmonary blood vessels with pulmonary hypertension.
2. Metastatic carcinoma in both adrenal glands.
3. Bone marrow metastases with myelofibrosis.
4. Myeloid metaplasia in spleen.
5. The primary site of the carcinoma could not be found.
Diagnosis: Metastatic tumour emboli in small pulmonary arteriola
