dc.descriptionClinical history : A 44 year old male who underwent an operation a year ago for a glioma in the part of the thalamus and developed hydrocephalus which was treated with a ventriculoperitoneal diversion.
dc.descriptionThe patient had completed a full course of radiation but later became badly confused.
dc.descriptionA report of bilateral frontal infiltration was seen and eventually died in a coma.
dc.descriptionAutopsy findings : 1. Midbrain astrocytoma with spreading to the optic chiasm, the right tempero-parietal area and frontal lobe.
dc.description2. The tumor had infiltrated the ventricular system.
dc.description3. Bilateral bronchopneumonia.
dc.descriptionDiagnosis: Grade III astrocytoma of the midbrain with spreading to the tempero-parietal lobe, ventricular system and the frontal lobe
