This study presents a method that produces optimal design of a turboexpander ethane recovery process operable with given utilization weight of multiple feeds at minimum energy destruction. Although energy destruction is lesser when using individual processes designed for each different feed, using a process operable with multiple feeds is advantageous because of higher capacity utilization rate and lower capital costs.
