dc.description.abstractThe presentation is an introduction to the University of Pretoria's electronic theses and dissertations operation (UPeTD - http://upetd.up.ac.za) which kicked off in 2000. In 2003 the experimental phase came to an end, submission became mandatory in 2004. This historical overview provides an interesting contrast with the repository's current success.en_US
