Abstract

Photograph depicting an ornamental silver drawer handle. It appears to be from mrs. Gordon's coromandel chest of drawers, not original but copied from a box at Koopmans de Wet House. It is shown in Fig. 142 on p. 116 of the 1960 edition of prof. Geoffrey Pearce's book "Eighteenth Century Furniture in South Africa". See also description on p. 114.
