Abstract
John Humfrey Bowker, fondly known as “Long John,” was born on 12th February 1946 in Johannesburg. He graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science BVSc. in 1968. The obituary in memory of John Humphrey Bowker as written by his daughter Trish includes information about his education, veterinary career and scientific contributions. Dr Bowker passed away on 26 September 2018.
