dc.description.abstractThe Mapungubwe Museum comprises of the proclaimed Mapungubwe Collection from Mapungubwe Hill and K2, two exceptional Iron Age archaeological sites situated in the central Limpopo Valley, Limpopo Province in South Africa. The University of Pretoria has been custodian of this specifically declared national heritage since discovery in 1933, and the museum was founded permanently in June 2000. This unique archaeological museums serves for educational, tourism, training, and academic and research purposes.en
