Description
Clinical history : A 15 year old female with petit mal epilepsy for 18 months and was treated with natrium valproate.
The patient presented with nausea and vomitting as well as jaundice prior to death.
Autopsy findings : 1. Submassive liver necrosis secondary to drug hepatitis due to natroum valproate.
2. Pulmonary bleeding.
3. Petit mal epilepsy.
Diagnosis: Submassive necrosis following drug hepatitis due to sodium valproate
