Abstract

In this PhD thesis Youth ministry in Mozambique: A practical theological evaluation: explores and analyses the cycle of poverty which negatively affects youth in Mozambique. Factors such as civil war from 1976 to 1992, starvation and natural disaster are ongoing problems that displace many children and youth who became vulnerable. The impact of civil war and natural disaster have dehumanized children and youth due to famine, drought, floods, malnutrition, work exploitation, sexual abuse, and involvement in forced premature marriage practice. Adolescents no longer trust adults, or themselves.
