Description
Clinical history : A 51-year-old male developed pleural effusion in May 1965; in November 1965 a biopsy diagnosis of malignant mesothelioma was made.
Radio-active Cobalt and chemotherapy (Natulan and cortisone) treatment was given but the patient died in November 1967.
Autopsy findings : 1. Malignant pleural mesothelioma in right lung with collapse.
2. Lymphatic spread in both lungs.
Diagnosis: Pleural mesothelioma in right lung with spread to left lung, collapse of right lung
