Description

Clinical history : A male child 3 months of age with hydrocephalus developed severe gastro-enteritis in the hospital and died.
Autopsy findings : 1. Hydrocephalus.
2. Acute brongopneumonia.
3. Hypoplastic left kidney.
Diagnosis: 1. Non-communicating hydrocephalus due to congenital closure of foramina in roof of fourth ventricle.
2. Acute ependymitis.
3. Congenital hypoplasia of left kidney.
