Description
Clinical history : A 61 year old male who had a fracture to the neck of the left femur and was treated operatively.
The patient had suddenly developed oedema in the leg with a weak pulse.
Autopsy findings : 1. Old fracture of the neck of the femur.
2. Bilateral renal infarction.
3. Renal arterial and venous thrombosis.
Diagnosis: Widespread renal infarction with renal artery thrombosis
