Description
Clinical history : A 15-year-oldfemale patient with diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis had lung X-ray suggestive of a Echinococcus cyst.
Signs of chronic leptomeningitis were present and on examination of the cerebrospinal fluid, the diagnosis of cryptococcus meningitis was made.
Treatment was unsuccessful.
Autopsy findings : Chronic leptomeningitis and in the lower lobe of the right lung a yellowish granuloma was present.
Diagnosis: Primary cryptococcus neoformans granuloma
