Failed states, fading dreams and a failing democracy : the critical role of public law academics

Abstract

With reference to incidents where rule of law has been disregarded by the South African government and pointing to the danger of paraliament becoming a mere rubber stamp for the executive, the author urges legal academics - and particularly public law academics - to become involved through criticism.
