Description

Clinical history : A male, 50-years old with history of haemoptysis.
Before admission dyspnoea and orthopnoea developed and examination showed hepatomegaly (2 fingers) and ankle oedema.
The patient collapsed suddenly and died in spite of treatment.
Autopsy findings : 1. Carcinoma of right main bronchus with hilar lymph node metastases.
2. Metastases to pericardium and para-aortic lymph nodes.
3. Pulmonary infarction.
4. Bronchopneumonia.
5. Acute infective endocarditis of tricuspid valve.
Diagnosis: Acute infective endocarditis of tricuspid valve in patient with bronchial carcinoma
