Description
Clinical history : A 61-year old female with signs of raised intracranial pressure and blindness.
A ventriculoatriostoma procedure with improvement of the patient's condition, was performed.
Two years later intracerebral haemorrhage occurred with blocking of intra-atrial tube.
Autopsy findings : 1. Grade III-IV atherosclerosis of aorta and rest of arterial system.
2. Benign nephrosclerosis.
3. Tumour of 8th cranial nerve on the left side with secondary internal hydrocephalus.
4. Intra-cerebral haemorrhage
Diagnosis: Acoustic neuroma
