dc.description.abstract | Crash Investigation is the process of investigating and analysing the circumstances surrounding a vehicle crash to determine its cause, sequence, and severity. The goal is to determine the cause of the crash, identifying contributing factors such as human error, vehicle and/or environmental factors, as well as identifying potential liability and responsibility. Techniques such as analysis of evidence, such as damage to vehicles and structures, examination of vehicle data, such as speed, braking and acceleration are used to reconstructing the events surrounding a crash, investigators can provide valuable insights to help prevent similar crashes from occurring in the future. | |
