Description

Clinical history : A 35-year old woman had renal transplant in 1980 after bilateral nephrectomy for chronic glomerulonephritis.
In July 1983 mouth ulcers developed and Candida infection diagnosed.
Four days later she died with high fever and signs of disseminated intravascular clotting.
Autopsy findings : 1. Renal transplant with low grade vascular rejection.
2. Herpes virus hepatitis.
3. Disseminated intravascular clotting.
Diagnosis: Herpes virus hepatitis
