Abstract
Description
Clinical history : A 59 year with a history of weight loss. The patient was recorded to have abdominal surgery and the possibility of a volvulus or a primary stomach carcinoma was also considered.
Autopsy findings : 1. Centri-lobular emphysema.
2. Bilateral pulmonary infarction as a result of embolism from a thrombosis of the peri-prostatic venous plexus.
3. Cor pulmonale.
4. Aorto-stenosis with left ventricular thrombosis .
5. Systemic infarction of the kidneys and the spleen.
6. Bilateral kidney infarction is a probability of reflex paralytic ileus.
Diagnosis: 1. Aortic stenosis
2. Spleen infection
