The focus of this treatise is to look at the financial feasibility of infrastructure development in South Africa (mainly the improvement of transport facilities), and the impact it will have after completion of the main projects that’s currently busy for example Gautrain, Gauteng Freeway Improvement Programme, etc. It also looks at the employment opportunities that major infrastructure projects provide and furthermore at other infrastructure developments in and around South Africa such as electricity, telecommunication and water projects. Will all the hassle to improve major infrastructure be worthwhile and will it actually make a difference to the economic growth in a developing country like South Africa?en_US
