Description

Clinical history : A 25 year old female with a clinical diagnosis of disseminated lupus erythematosus.
She had developed terminal Shigella dysentery.
Autopsy findings : 1. Ulcerating Shigella colitis.
2. Big, pale kidneys.
3. Bronchopneumonia.
4. Chronic leptomeningitis.
Organisms of the C. neoformans was found in the sections of the kidney, adrenal gland, lungs and meninges.
Diagnosis: Widespread torulosis of the Kidney.
