Description
Clinical history : A 9-year old black girl with widespread post-inflammatory cutis laxa.
Examination showed cardiomegaly and she suddenly developed left hemiplegia and died shortly afterwards.
Autopsy findings : 1. Cutis laxa.
2. Takayasu type aortitis of first part of aorta and both coronary ostia.
3. Myocardial infarction.
4. Thrombus in left auricle with embolism and cerebral infarction.
Diagnosis: Takayasu type aortitis of first part of aorta and myocardial infarction.
