dc.description.abstract1. The biological values of yellow maize and white maize are given for some eleven varieties grown under South African (summer rainfall) conditions. 2. The results indicate that there exists a significant difference in the nutritive value of the proteins of some of these varieties, but that these differences are not associated with the colour of the maize.en_ZA
