Description
Clinical history : A 17 year old male with lymphadenopathy, splenomegaly and a tumor under the skin.
The patient presented with swelling in both legs and knees and a diagnosis of Burkitt's disease was made after a biopsy.
Autopsy findings : 1. Enlarged lymph nodes of the iliac area, para-aortic, neck, mesenteric and portal vein.
2. Wide spread infiltration to the kidneys.
Diagnosis: Malignant lymphoma of the Burkitt type
