dc.description.abstractThe South African National Roads Agency Ltd (SANRAL) has established a Research Panel and Programme to undertake research in the transportation field. One of the projects that were undertaken as part of the program was an investigation into the design and operations of roundabouts. This project included, amongst others, a study of traffic operations and the capacity of roundabouts in South Africa. The purpose of the paper is to present the findings of the study.
