dc.description | These two paintings hung above Coetzee's bed and depict Eros and Psyche respectively. Eros, the Greek god of love, sexual intercourse, cupids, desire and pleasure was married to Psyche - a human girl he fell in love with by accidentally scratching himself with his arrow which she then touched, sealing their connection and love for one another. | en_ZA |
