Description
Clinical history : A 36 year old female with digestive tract bleeding due to rupture of the oesophageal varices and a liver biopsy showed signs of Budd-Chiori syndrome.
Autopsy findings : 1. Membranous failure of the inferior vena cava.
2. Pronounced ascites.
3. Oesophageal varices.
Diagnosis: Membranous closure
