Abstract:
From the Pearse Collection: photograph depicting the Rococo interior of the Town Hall in Dokkum, with plastered ceiling and wood-panelled walls framing painted insets. The chairs depicted display influences of the Queen Anne style. Photograph probably considered for prof. Geoffrey Pearse's book "Eighteenth Century Furniture in South Africa", but never included.
