Dr Gillis de Kock : Onderstepoort staff

Abstract

Gillis van der Wall de Kock (1989-1973) was appointed in February 1914 to the staff of Sir Arnold Theiler at the Onderstepoort Veterinary Laboratory and for a short time he was stationed at Armoedsvlakte. When the Veterinary Faculty was finally established at Onderstepoort he was appointed Professor of Anatomy. in 1938 he was appointed professor of Comparative Pathology which position he held until he retired in November 1949.
