dc.description.abstract Gerald Augustus Harold Bedford (May 1891 – 28 January 1938) was a British entomologist of the 20th century who specialised in ticks from South Africa. He was appointed as entomologist in 1912 at the Onderstepoort Veterinary Institute. He published various articles on the subject of parasitology. He served Onderstepoort from 1912-1935. He died in 1938 at the age of 46 en_ZA
