Abstract

The dissertation describes the production and titration of molecular clones of HIV-1B and HIV-1C primary isolates, as well as the assessment of haematopoietic stem and progenitor cell function by colony-forming unit assay towards the ultimate goal of evaluating the effects of HIV-1 infection on haematopoietic stem cell colony formation.
