Abstract:
For some churches, declining attendance and membership numbers are a given. From a
marketing and business perspective, churches are experiencing growing competition on a
spiritual level from the world of business within the experience economy. It seems as if the
church is slowly losing the battle. This is an opinion article based on original research and
observing, discussing and reading about innovation within a market where the quest for
experiences is growing.
