Abstract
The identity of the toxic substance of "Gifblaar", Dichapetalum
cymosum, has been established to be monofluoroacetic acid.
The potassium and calcium salts as well as the p-nitrobenzyl and
p-bromophenacyl esters of monofluoroacetic acid have been described.
