dc.description.abstract (1) Bluetongue virus inoculated intravenously, subcutaneously, intranasally, or through scarifications on the buccal mucous membrane did not cause any apparent illness in cattle. (2) Inoculated cattle developed a maladie inapparente. (3) The ability of bluetongue virus to cause lesions in the buccal cavity of cattle is doubted. en_ZA
