Changing research workflows at the University of Pretoria (UP) and the CSIR: results of an international study

Abstract

The University of Pretoria and the CSIR took part in an international survey about what traditional and innovative tools and sites researchers are using in the various phases of the research process. A short overview of the tools and sites will be presented. Both institutions received an unique url to be used only for their organisations. The presentation will discuss the analysis of the data, as well as a comparison between what tools and sites UP and the CSIR researchers are using during the research process. The South African data will also be compared to international trends. And last but not least: what should the role of research librarians be to improve research workflows?
