dc.description This tall quadrangle plaster vase on a square pedestal of Oryx or Gemsbok is an extraordinary design by Eloff, and also formed part of the designs for the Union Buildings commission. Previous descriptions and titles of this artwork in particular have been incorrectly assumed to depict roan antelope (Bastergemsbok) but it is clearly that of a Gemsbok. en_ZA
