dc.description Clown is the most recent work by Coetzee in the University of Pretoria's Art Collection and the last of his works which he kept for himself. As the last in a group of six portraits, this small portrait of a smiling clown hung above Coetzee's bed in his Tulbagh home and was looking down on him when he passed away at the age of 71 in November 2000. en_ZA
