dc.description This large creation in wood of a fireplace and mantelpiece of a nude male holding a large oval mirror was probably the only work Eloff ever created in this medium. It is presumed that this is his earliest known work as a young man that he created just after his arrival in Paris. Eloff originally sculpted the work in plaster and commissioned a carver to fashion it in wood. en_ZA
