dc.description This life-size marble sculpture immortalises the artist’s parents at their grave in the Pretoria West Cemetery. His parents were Frederik Christoffel Eloff (1850 - 1924) and Elsie Franzina Eloff, née Kruger (1852 - 1924), one of Paul Kruger’s daughters. Eloff’s mother and father died within four weeks of one another and this was a heavy loss for the artist to bear. After completing this special headstone in France, Eloff personally erected it a year later in 1925 during a visit to Pretoria. en_ZA
