dc.description.abstract Mice were immunized with vaccines containing whole dry bacteria and adjuvant. They were challenged by the intravenous injection of living bacteria. The degree of immunity obtained was best expressed in terms of the difference in the Tangens values of the cumulative death rates between the immunized and control animals. en_ZA
