dc.description |
This round polychrome lead-glazed earthenware plate is decorated with a crowned shield and the inscription “HKH PRINSES JULIANA” on a ribbon. The diamond-shaped quartered shield is the personal coat of arms of Juliana. The base of the plate is unglazed and shows yellow clay. A carved out inscription “K. Mobach Utrecht” can be seen in the clay. Juliana, the only child of Queen Wilhelmina and Prince Hendrik, was born on 30 April 1909. |
