dc.description This still-life clearly shows Bettie Cilliers-Barnard’s move to dramatic simplification of the forms represented. Cooler colours and flat colour planes become predominant. In this painting the lamp, boxes and bowls become flat Cubist interlocking planes. The influence of André L’hote was becoming most evident. en_ZA
