Abstract
Description
This representational still-life shows Bettie Cilliers-Barnard’s thoughtful
handling of a conventional still-life theme. It shows Impressionist brushwork,
emphasis of light accents on a dark background and the use of pure colour. Her
technical skill in portraying the flowers, vase and cloth in the foreground
attracts attention.
