dc.description In this work the much used circle becomes a cross. In its marvelously ordered symmetry and the simplicity of the cruciform composition, executed in bas-relief, this work reminds one of the magnificent book covers of the Koran. The cryptic writing inside the platter heightens the effect of the title of the work. en_ZA
