dc.description.abstract This paper situates a critical and reflexive reference to my own recent explorations with the body and the Monument in two video performance works: ‘Muscle and Jew and the Voortrekker Monument’ (2012) and ‘Muscle Jew and The Miners’ (2013). It is in the cross mediations of reflection and politic and autobiographical trajectories that produce a distorted and spontaneous similitude (association) of enactments occurring as re-enactment of engagement between the body and the Monument. en_US
