Abstract:
The cornerstone of the Dutch Reformed Church in Durban, on the corner of Smith and Cato street, was laid by the minister of Justice, the Hon. N J de Wet, on July 7, 1923. The church was designed by Gerard Moerdijk, and stands on the same piece of land where Piet Retief met with the English colonists.
