Abstract

'n Verbintenis tussen Pretoria en die Britse Koninklike Troue op 29 April 2011 word bespreek. Na die dood van haar seun Prins Christian Victor, het Prinses Christian van Schleswig-Holstein 'n mirtetak uit Koningin Victoria se tuin op sy graf in Pretoria kom plant. Catherine Middleton het mirtetakkies van Koningin Victoria se bome in haar bruidsruiker gedra. Prinses Christian het in 1904 die Princess Christian ouetehuis vir arm mense gestig.
A connection between Pretoria and the British Royal Wedding on 29 April 2011 is discussed. After the death of her son Prince Christian Victor, HRH Princess Christian of Schleswig-Holstein planted a sprig from Queen Victoria's myrtle tree on his grave in Pretoria. Catherine Middleton carried sprigs from Queen Victoria's trees in her bridal bouquet. In 1904 Princess Christian founded the Princess Christian Home for the Poor Aged.
