As the title of the Editorial alludes, the theme of qualitative
assessment plays a prominent role in virtually every article in
this issue. I am delighted by our authors’ sterling attempts to reassess
career counseling in Africa in the 21st century and
breathe new life into qualitative approaches. Allow me to explain
