Abstract

The presentation takes the viewer on a tour of the different types of Web 2.0 tools that currently exist, and illustrates how some of these tools have been used by the Library Services of the University of Pretoria, South Africa. The presentation also highlights the value each tool can have in a library setting, and ends with possible future developments that are on the horizon.

The presentation was delivered at the Special Libraries and Information Services (SLIS) Meeting, titled "Information Professionals in high gear: developing social media savvy" held on 14 October 2010 at the Knowledge Commons, CSIR, Pretoria, South Africa.
